Morgan & Beth with our canoe

Looking intrepid

Here on the beach near our main campsite for the 4 nights we spent in Frontenac this time are Beth and Morgan looking out to the lake. A beautiful shot if I do say so myself.

Also on this campsite, Morgan scared the hell out of us by nibbling (possibly) on a mushroom she found growing here. After clearing her mouth and finding all but one tiny piece, we decided to wait and watch carefully. I'm not a mushroom expert, but know a few of the most deadly (false morels, destroying angels) and knew it wasn't those, but we were still pretty scared.

Everything turned out fine. Either she hadn't actually had any or it was edible. We'll never know I guess.

Just a cool photo of the water looking like the sky Between earth and sky

Just a cool photo from our last afternoon. The lake was like glass and made a perfect reflection.

TRIP
NOTES

Morgan's second trip. This was the first of our post-labour day mid-week holidays. We liked the lack of bugs and people so much that we have holidayed at this time every year since then. We didn't see a soul until Friday afternoon.

The trip itself was in the east section of the park. We entered at Frontenac outfitters and paddled in to campsite 7. We daytripped from there for two days and then had to move because of the camping limit. We basically stayed put in this general area until we left on Saturday. I'll add more specifics when I find the map.
