Morgan's Home Page

After months of complaints and, no doubt, some abandoned hopes, here is the Morgan update. New photos, pointless commentary, and less! You can still look at the old page here.

She has teeth now: there're two of them and they're sharp. She will cheerfully sink them into or scrape them over anyone foolish enough to allow their finger to enter her mouth (she's not above abusing toes, either). She seems to be working on two more on the top, but nothing is visible yet.

Her interest in food other than MM (mother's milk) is still largely academic. She's going to continue study and let us know when she's ready to release a full report. Teething biscuits have been assessed thoroughly in the preliminary study and are popular, pending more research.

Crawling is undergoing continued research as well. She is not impressed with her findings so far. It seems that when concentration is fixed on a target object it actually moves further away and the couch comes up from behind and attempts to swallow the researcher. Standing is meeting with some success. When subjects stay still long enough, they can be used as a prop by the researcher for experiments in vertical travel.

Morgan appeared in her first Christmas card this year. (Some folks who normally get cards from us, still haven't received this yet. Please be patient. Our normally late selves are even more behind this year. Hopefully, you'll receive it before the March break.) You can see the cover art and verse by clicking here. --> [xmas card]

Relative of the month

Cousin Kaitlyn and Morgan at the cottage enjoying a vertical moment in front of the hassock.

Supplementary relative

Aunt Andrea and Morgan at the cottage mugging for the camera. You can see that Morgan is very shy about the camera. We have a terrible time getting her to allow us to take pictures. In this picture Andrea is restraining Morgan from assaulting the photographer.

M & P

Here's a shot from the summer of Morgan with her Poppa. Her Poppa is not her father. Poppa is a grandfather -- one of three.

Sitting by the dock of the bay

Another summer shot. Morgan and her mom hanging out on the dock at the cottage. Morgan wasn't particularly impressed by the lifejacket or the deep water. She kind of enjoyed paddling at the beach, though.

The next generation[photo]

Morgan in a shamelessly posed shot at the cottage with her dad, granddad, and great-grandpa. (I always knew he was great.)

O come let us adore her

Morgan played Jesus twice during Advent. The Church of the Holy Trinity near the Eaton Centre has been putting on a very large production of the Christmas Story for over 50 years Morgan did her scheduled performance and, apparently, was the first Jesus that year who didn't cry. She also received a last minute call to fill in a week later when both the first Jesus and the understudy for that night were unable to make it. She especially liked the part where a large crowd gathered around to adore her and give her presents. In this photo, the kings and their pages are gathered in front of Jesus (Morgan in this case).
